the layout was awful...
the bath surround was rotten...
the fixtures were pretty scabby...
the toilet was cracked...
at least the wainscoting underneath is solid and can stay in place...
this is how the new bath will be positioned...
the hardwood floor under the lino tiles was 60% rotten...
oh yeah, and a massive hole under where the bath was. this is looking up from the basement. need to reinforce joist and rebuild floor. we think we'll lay small hexagonal tile and bring down the clawfoot tub from the 2nd floor. we'll need to get a new vanity and toilet. walls will get some new drywall on top half and we'll clean up the wainscoting on the bottom half.
